Attorneys of our firm acted as legal counsels for local energy investor on acquisition of a greenfield wind park project and construction of the wind park. The development of the project on renewable sources of energy is financed by foreign investment.
Our team advised on all stages of the acquisition, performed the acquisition due diligence, took the lead in negotiation process, drafted SPA and other transaction documents, provided consultations in relation to the regulatory framework of the Lithuanian energy sector. Closing the deal demanded arduous negotiations where our lawyers’ know-how was required.
“The Government of Lithuania in the national energy strategy has expressed its goal to increase the share of energy produced from the renewables, as the country has all the needed potential for renewable energy development. Wind energy is being strongly promoted. This transaction highlights our continuous involvement in the promising renewables practice. The completed deal gives incentive to foreign investors interested in the Baltic States to engage in renewable energy resources projects”, remarked partner Giedrius Kolesnikovas.
