Contributed to The International Arbitration Review

The fifth edition of The International Arbitration Review was recently published with our firm’s partner Ramūnas Audzevičius contributing an article to the Lithuanian section of the review.

The author provided information regarding the current situation of arbitration in Lithuania and shared his insights regarding the future trends in the market. Ramūnas Audzevičius notes that arbitration is yet to reach the level of popularity it has in Western Europe. The situation is somewhat twofold: although new legislation, which has expanded the list of arbitrable matters, should have positive impacts, some of the recent decisions in the highest instance courts regarding the interpretation of public policy pose a threat to further growth.
