Dispute concerned the compensation of direct damages

Our team has represented a client in the Court of Appeal of Lithuania. In general, the dispute concerned the compensation of direct damages regarding contractual liability resulting from a failure to properly perform a works contract. The immense complexity of the case, and the difficulties in calculating damages and proving causation occurred due to the enormous amount of written evidence. Therefore, in this case the Court applied very precisely all four civil liability conditions: unlawful actions, damages, causal link between the unlawful action and damages, and fault.
