Dispute related to the validity of loan agreements

Our team represented one of the largest Lithuanian beverage producers and a well-known Lithuanian glass manufacturing company in a dispute relating to the validity of loan agreements. The applicants were challenging the loan agreements concluded with the defendants and requested that they be considered null and void.

Kaunas Regional Court granted the applicant’s request for interim measures and deemed that the payments under the contracts in question be temporarily made into a court escrow account. The defendants appealed to the Lithuanian Court of Appeal but had their appeal rejected and the court of first instance’s decision on interim measures remained unchanged.
