Acquisition of a leading agricultural company

Our team advised Linas Agro Group in the acquisition of one of the largest agricultural companies in Lithuania.

The acquisition of Žemės ūkio investicijos with a diverse portfolio of milk production, grain and seed production expanded the group’s managed cultivated land area to 17,000 hectares, making it one of the biggest owners of cultivated land in Lithuania. Linas Agro Group before the acquisition employed over 970 employees and in the 9 months of the financial year 2012-2013 has already achieved sales of over 480 million euros.

The acquired company employs 105 persons and during the last year has sold production for over 6 million euros, allowing it to receive a net profit of 1.5 million euros. The acquisition of this agribusiness was one of the stepping stones in pursuing the successful expansion of Linas Agro Group.

The acquisition was completed on 5th of September 2013.
