Advised Singaporean company regarding VAT issues in Lithuania

Our Tax law practice group advised Singaporean company on the taxation issues in Lithuania. The client is trading in oil and oil products. Since it sells goods to foreign buyers, who in turn resell the goods further, EU VAT issues arose.

We advised the client on how to structure transactions to ensure it can apply a 0% VAT rate on sales.

Additionally, we prepared guidelines for the client’s employees to ensure relevant export evidence is collected at all levels of transactions and the client is not exposed to significant tax risks in the future.
