Defended a major Lithuanian brokerage firm

Motieka & Audzevičius has defended a client, a major Lithuanian brokerage firm, against an ungrounded lawsuit. The counterparty of our client filed a complaint against the actions of a court bailiff which were directed against our client.

The court of first instance affirmed the complaint, under which circumstances we appealed. The court of appellate has annulled the decision of the lower court and has entirely dismissed the complaint. The court stated that the lower court had overstepped the boundaries defined by the complaint and had ruled on the issues which were not raised by the claimant.
