Represented a foreign TV broadcaster

Motieka & Audzevičius has represented a foreign TV broadcaster before the Vilnius Regional Administrative Court. The client challenged the decision of the Radio and Television Commission of Lithuania which imposed restrictions on the broadcasting of certain TV content in the Republic of Lithuania.

The dispute is very important for foreign businesses since it relates to the proper implementation of the EU Audiovisual Media Services Directive, protection of the rights of foreign investors and due cooperation between institutions of different EU Member States in the field of audiovisual services.
