Represented a private landowner in an administrative case

Motieka & Audzevičius has represented a private landowner in an administrative case against the National Land Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania. The dispute concerned the National Land Service’s refusal to accept the cadastral measurements of the client’s land plot and the decision to declare that a part of this land plot is the property of the State.

The Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania issued a final decision stating that the State cannot be recognized as the owner of the disputed land plot. Thus, the court for the most part supported the client’s arguments set forth in the case. This decision significantly improves the possibilities of achieving a positive final result in the dispute with the National Land Service regarding the boundaries of the client owned land plot.
