Represented an international media company in a case against Lithuanian cable television

Our team has represented an international media company in a civil case against one of the largest Lithuanian cable television service providers. The dispute concerned the validity of the termination of the license agreement granting the right to retransmit television channels in Lithuania.

The claimant brought an action before the court demanding to recognize that our client illegally unilaterally terminated the license agreement. However, the court of first instance rejected the claim as unfounded. The claimant appealed this decision to the higher court, but the appellate court also recognized that our client’s unilateral termination of the contract was carried out lawfully and reasonably.
