Represented the interest of Jesuit Province of Lithuania

Our lawyers have successfully represented the interest of Jesuit Province of Lithuania in the Court of Appeal of Lithuania. The Jesuit Province of Lithuania has been seeking to recover real estate property which was unlawfully expropriated during the World War II and then privatized in the 1990’s.

Courts of all instances ruled in favor of the client and decided to return the right of ownership of the expropriated property. However, legal proceedings in the case were renewed in 2006, following a request by the third parties, which were the shareholders of the company that privatized the property.

After the case was re-examined, the court of the first instance agreed with our arguments and decided that there are no grounds to change the decisions of the courts. Following unfounded complaints by the shareholders and the company itself, the Court of Appeal ruled in favor of the Jesuit Province of Lithuania, leaving the decision of the court of the first instance unchanged.
