The Court of Appeals dismissed the request to renew the process

Our firm has provided leading strategic counseling services in a dispute between the client in the beverages industry and a government entity due to a request of the latter to renew civil process in a case of the Supreme Court of Lithuania where the client was awarded more than LTL 1.7 million.

The Court of Appeals dismissed the request to renew the civil process filed by a government entity. The court had emphasized that the renewal of a civil process is an extraordinary remedy which cannot be used as a tool just repeat the proceedings, it must be based on legitimate grounds.
