Vertical Agreements 2011, a volume in the Getting the Deal Through series, is consisted of the reports by the leading practitioners from 39 jurisdictions who outline the issues on some of the most relevant procedural issues in their countries. Team of Motieka & Audzevicius have represented a view of the Lithuanian legal market.
Partner Ramunas Audzevicius comments: “New EU rules on vertical agreements came into force in 2010, following a broad consultation process by the European Commission in 2008 and 2009. The new Vertical Block Exemption Regulation (Regulation (EU) No. 330/2010 (vBER) will be valid until 31 May 2022. Beyond direct applicability of the regulation, Lithuanian legislature transposed the vBER into national legislation. Motieka & Audzevicius carried out analysis of interplay of two regimes and elaborated on when the new EU principles apply in Lithuania if conditions of vBER are not met.”
