Represented a securities investor

Our Dispute Resolution team has represented a private individual – securities investor in a dispute with a major Lithuanian financial brokerage firm and a hedge fund manager. The brokerage firm filed a claim against our client asserting that he entered into transactions whilst allegedly violating the rights of the claimant.

The dispute is related to share repurchase (REPO) agreements and other contracts concluded by the defendant with third parties. We successfully defended our client in the court of the first instance and have now succeeded in completely rebuffing an appeal launched by the claimant at the Court of Appeals of Lithuania.
