Represented an olympian athlete in an anti-doping case

Our Dispute Resolution group’s Senior Associate Denis Parchajev represented a world-class athlete in a case concerning allegations under the IOC AntiDoping Rules applicable to the Games of the XXX Olympiad, London 2012.
The case concerned an alleged presence of Dehydrochlormethyltestosterone (Turinabol) metabolite. Such substance is banned at all times as per the 2012 and 2018 WADA Prohibited Lists and is classified under Class S1.1a Exogenous Anabolic Androgenic Steroids.

This particular case concerned a very low concentration of M3 metabolite, which was only consistent with a residue trace of the previous Turinabol consumption for which the Athlete was already sanctioned by the IOC Disciplinary Commission.
