Lithuanian tax authorities accuse our client of failing to complete the transit procedure even though our client has evidence that the officer of the Latvian customs authority has confirmed that the goods have been properly delivered to the customs office of the destination in Latvia. In other words, Lithuanian tax authorities want to acknowledge that our client shall be responsible for unlawful actions performed by the officer of the Latvian customs authority.

At this moment, this case is examining at the Supreme Administrative Court, however, in case of a court decision unfavorable to the client, it probably will end up in the European Court of Human Rights.
