In this edition Motieka & Audzevičius’ partner Ramūnas Audzevičius reviews the situation with regards to the arbitration sphere in Lithuania and discusses some recent changes. The author notes that recent legislation changes regarding arbitration has expanded the scope of arbitration disputes and validated the arbitration agreements made through electronic means, essentially increasing the attractiveness of arbitration. Thus, the changes should have a positive effect on the volume of arbitration cases in the future. However, these positive effects may not be seen for a while.
