Rita specialises in antitrust litigation and regulatory matters in network industries and the financial investment sector.
She has given consultations to and/or represented clients in disputes with the National Competition Authority, litigations in the Supreme Administrative Court and was part of the team in the cases heard at the Court of Justice of the European Union. She has valuable experience in the institutional and regulatory framework of the European Union and successfully used it filing complaints with the European Commission.
Rita is a certified project manager (PRINCE2) and has a qualification in organisation management techniques (Lean) which allows her to better understand clients’ organisation and daily operations and to provide more client business orientated solutions for implementation and compliance with regulatory requirements. For example, she consulted DNB Markets department to adapt their organisation and operations to comply with the new EU regulatory frameworks such as MIFID II/ MIFIR and EMIR.
Rita is also experienced in policy advocacy both at national and EU level and research projects carried out as collaboration between industry and academia.

Rita was a member of our team in 2013–2014 and re-joined us in 2018. Previously, she assisted a Member of the European Parliament, was a Policy Analyst at a think-tank, as well as Regulatory Analyst in the financial investment sector, and an Associate at one of the law firms based in Vilnius. She was also a contributor to several large scale international research projects in the fields of energy/climate change regulation and competition law and taught Competition Law of the EU and Banking Regulation in UK academia.
