Speaker at Juris International Investment Arbitration Conference

Partner Ramūnas Audzevičius was recently given the honour of being one of the panelists in the Seventh Annual Investment Treaty Arbitration Conference on the theme of “Investor-State Dispute Resolution in the Energy Sector” in Washington D.C.

The conference was based on the presentation of two competing papers by “up and coming” field stars on the topic in question, which later gave way to discussion. The theme’s importance is self-evident when one takes into account the rapid rise in the number of disputes in the energy sector between investors and states. The increasing regulation of the market will most likely cause a further increase in the importance of this branch of dispute resolution.

The conference boasted an excellent list of panelists among which were representatives from leading international law firms such as Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom’s International Litigation and Arbitration Group, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s and White & Case.
