Founding partner Kazimieras Motieka started practicing law making Motieka & Audzevičius one of the longest operating firms in Lithuania.
Signatory of the Independence Restoration Act
On March 11, 1990, Kazimieras Motieka was a signatory to the Act of the Re-Establishment of the State of Lithuania. He was then elected Deputy Speaker of Lithuania’s parliament, the Seimas.
New Partner Ramūnas Audzevičius
As the firm‘s practice grew following the addition of Partner Ramūnas Audzevičius, it was renamed Motieka & Audzevičius, and it embarked on a path of strategic growth and expansion, with an increased ability to provide first-tier services in the Baltic States and beyond, with a strong focus on dispute resolution and complex deals.
Creation of a Pan-Baltic partnership
Our Lithuanian law firm entered into a pan-Baltic partnership with like-minded firms in Latvia and Estonia. This partnership, comprised of highly ranked and widely respected professionals across the three Baltic countries, is able to provide a full range of services to multi-jurisdictional clients in a wide area of practices.
New partner Jovitas Elzbergas
The firm's strategic growth continued with the arrival of a new partner Jovitas Elzbergas, the former Director of the Legal Department of Vilnius Municipality. The move enhanced our capabilities in real estate and construction law.
New Partner Giedrius Kolesnikovas
Giedrius Kolesnikovas became a partner and Head of Motieka & Audzevičius’s Corporate and M&A practice.
We are named a global leader in arbitration
Motieka & Audzevičius became the first Baltic law firm in history to appear on the Global Arbitration Review’s list of the world’s 100 strongest law firms in arbitration.
New Partners Dr. Rimantas Daujotas and Justinas Jarusevičius
In October, dispute resolution specialists Dr. Rimantas Daujotas and Justinas Jarusevičius joined the firm’s partnership.
Establishment of Motieka Investment Fund
The closed-end Motieka Investment Fund (MIF) was established in June by the team of Motieka & Audzevičius, to allow us to become partners with our clients by investing in their businesses, thereby sharing both their success and the responsibility for achieving it.
New Partner Valentas Mitrauskas
In October, Valentas Mitrauskas joined the Motieka & Audzevičius partnership and became the leader of the firm’s Public Procurement practice group.
Establishment of Kazimieras Motieka Fund
Following the unfortunate passing of Founding Partner Kazimieras Motieka in August of 2021, Motieka & Audzevičius decided to set up a fund in his name and honor – the Kazimieras Motieka Fund – to support young talents in the fields of science and arts.
New Partners Rokas Jankus and Edvinas Lenkauskas
In January, Rokas Jankus and Edvinas Lenkauskas joined firm’s partnership, with Rokas leading the deals team and advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture-capital investments, and Edvinas becoming one of the leaders of the Tax Law practice group.

Denis Parchajev and Albertas Šekštelo, experts in dispute resolution and international arbitration, have become partners.
