Represented the CEO of a company in a shareholders’ dispute

Our team has represented the CEO of a company in a shareholders’ dispute. The shareholders had requested our client submit documents containing confidential information but they refused to sign a confidentiality agreement. Therefore, our client declined to provide the shareholders with the confidential information leading to the shareholders making an application to the court to fine our client.

Previously, the same shareholders had initiated a court procedure on the same legal grounds against another of our clients. The claim was unsuccessful and as a result, the shareholders decided to waive their demands against our client in this case, and hence the client did not suffer any damages. The fact that the positive results of our team in a previous case led the claimants to waive their demands against our client means not only that the client did not suffer any damages, but also that the shareholders will no longer be able to submit a claim against our client on the same legal grounds.
