Successfully represented an ex-politician

Our team have successfully represented an ex-politician in a criminal case. The client was charged with abuse of authority.

The ex-politician was alleged to have used his influence to force other civil servants to falsify the results of audit reports. The main evidence was a recording taken of a conversation; however, our team argued that it should not be used as evidence. The recording was taken of a private, emotional conversation which did not provide any real substantial evidence.

Vilnius District Court came down on the side of our team’s position and declared that the existing evidence does not provide a basis for the claims of abuse of authority.
