Successfully represented fintech company in 2 million EUR damage litigation

Our team successfully represented an e-money institution against financial services companies in Malta, Cyprus and Switzerland in a dispute over the termination of contracts and EUR 2 mio compensation.

The plaintiffs demanded to recognize the termination of the contracts executed by our client as unlawful and to award almost EUR 2 mio in compensation.

We successfully proved that the client had terminated the contracts lawfully – after finding gross violations of the AML/CFT rules. Using our best practices in litigating for compensation, we proved that the claims for damages are unfounded.

The Vilnius Regional Court dismissed the plaintiffs’ claim in full and awarded the Client all the litigation costs incurred.
