Paulius has a particularly strong track record of 7+ years of successful representation of clients in damages cases, including negotiating of such disputes, shareholder disputes, competition disputes, IPR disputes, insolvency disputes, transactional disputes, as well as financial and EU sanctions disputes before regulatory authorities.
Recently, Paulius with a team have successfully represented a client in a EUR 100 million damages case, helping the client to recover a record amount.
He has also successfully defended the interests of a broker in a EUR 2 million damages case against a client.
In addition, he successfully represented a payment institution before a national supervisory authority for the revocation of a payment institution’s license, helping the client to regain the revoked license, as well as helping to set a significant precedent in the financial sector by representing the client before the Court of Justice of the European Union.
Moreover, Paulius has a successful track record in IPR, competition, shareholders, director liability and transactional disputes, helping to defend clients’ interests against claims for damages and invalidity of transactions.
In addition to his successful practical experience, Paulius has in-depth academic knowledge of EU law and experience, he also completed his PhD researches of EU law, which helps him not only to raise significant issues of application and interpretation of EU law, but also to defend his clients’ interests before the EU institutions, as well as before the courts of the Republic of Lithuania.
