Advised on establishing joint venture

Our lawyers advised Lithuanian Gas (AB Lietuvos Dujos) and the Finnish gas company Gasum Oy on establishing a joint venture regarding the Natural Gas Exchange in Lithuania. The joint venture of Lithuanian Gas and Gasum Oy will carry out the activities of natural gas exchange in Lithuania and, at a later stage, in the entire Baltic region.

This transaction is a key phase in preparation for managing the gas supply after the liquefied natural gas terminal is built, and is also expected to help shape a fair price of gas where different sources of gas compete against each other instead of merely gas against other sources of energy.
