Successfully represented one of the largest diamond trading companies in Lithuania

Our Dispute Resolution team successfully represented the client, Ribas Jewellery, one of the largest diamond and fine jewellery trading companies in Lithuania, in several complex legal proceedings as well as parallel negotiations and mediation procedures.

The disputes concerned issues related to the performance of contractual obligations, the quality of purchased goods and services, and the deadlines for construction and service agreements. The client faced significant breaches of obligations by suppliers and service providers, which resulted in several separate court proceedings, including claims for pecuniary losses and contractual penalties.

By consistently aligning procedural actions with intensive negotiations, we successfully convinced the opposing party that our client’s legal position was well-founded and that continuing lengthy litigation would be economically irrational. Our experience in disputes involving contractual obligations, service quality, and complex commercial relationships with service providers enabled us to manage the situation so that favourable settlements fully aligned with the client’s objectives were reached in both cases.

By successfully concluding the proceedings amicably, we ensured that the client could continue its business operations without disruption and that the disputes were resolved in the most economically efficient manner.

“While working on this dispute, we focused on strategic management of the situation – from strengthening our position through procedural actions to intensive work during negotiations. Most importantly, we secured a solution that fully met the client’s interests,” said attorney Justinas Jarusevičius.
