Vilniaus prekyba won at the Lithuanian Court of Appeal

After the victory at the court of the first instance (see the release here), our dispute resolution team defended the interests of Vilniaus prekyba, UAB at the Lithuanian Court of Appeal in a dispute against M.Marcinkevicius regarding compensation of the damages.

Lithuanian Court of Appeal fully supported the arguments provided by our team. The court agreed that M.Marcinkevicius conducted illegal actions when filed groundless requests to freeze the transaction sought to conclude by our client as this was already established by the Supreme Court of Lithuania in 2019 (see the release here). The court stressed that M.Marcinkevicius did not file any evidence based on which the court could have any doubts related to the arguments and evidence presented by our client regarding the scope of the damages suffered.

After the order of the Lithuanian Court of Appeal was rendered, the judgment became enforceable. M. Marcinkevičius has a right to file a cassation appeal to the Supreme Court of Lithuania within three months with the request to review the judgments rendered.
