Assisted in obtaining the merger clearance

Motieka & Audzevičius has advised and assisted “Hampiðjan hf” in obtaining the merger clearance for the purchase of shares of P/f Von (due to its subsidiary UAB “Vonin Lithuania“) in Lithuania.

“Hampiðjan hf” is an Icelandic company engaged in the production of speciality ropes and nets for fishing gear used on large trawlers. The main business of the target, p/f Von, a Faroese company, relates to the production of fishing trawls and fish farming cages.

The merger clearance in Lithuania was a precondition for the whole transaction to be performed. We performed both the drafting of the notification and constant follow-up afterwards with the Competition Council.
