Represented a wine producer regarding violation of the Russian Competition law

Our legal team, together with colleagues from Russian Federation (RF), successfully represented a major wine producer in the Arbitrage (Commercial) Court of the RF Kabardino-Balkar Republic (KBR Court). A case concerned violation of the RF Competition law.

On 10 November 2016, a Commission of the RF Antimonopoly Service (UFAS) ruled that the respondent – a major Russian producer of alcoholic beverages – violated the RF Law “On the Protection of Competition” by selling a large quantity of alcoholic products misleadingly similar to the original products of our client on the RF market.

The respondent appealed against the UFAS decision of 10 November 2016 in the KBR Court, however, our team, with the help of RF lawyers, successfully defended the favourable decision, thus bringing our client one step closer to victory in the main copyright case against the respondent, where the client demands significant compensation from the latter.
