Represented the operator of natural gas transmission system before the Supreme Administrative Court

The team of Motieka & Audzevičius Dispute Resolution lawyers team has represented the operator of Lithuania’s natural gas transmission system before the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania. The client has contested the Vilnius Regional Administrative Court’s decision to suspend the proceedings in the administrative case regarding the legality of legislation on the financing scheme of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal.

The client was involved in the proceedings as a third party taking into account its essential role in the LNG Terminal financing procedure. Therefore, the client’s position set forth, in this case, had also significant importance in order to ensure the successful implementation of the abovementioned energy project which has strategic importance to a natural gas market in the entire Baltic region.
