Victory of E energija in the case against the Republic of Latvia
Attorney, expert of international arbitration Dr. Rimantas Daujotas commented for Verslo žinios the victory of the Lithuanian company E energija in the case against the Republic of Latvia in investment arbitration. “This process was qualified as a test of ICSID and investment arbitration – it had to show if it was generally possible and worth to arbitrate in the ICSID arbitration, requiring a relatively small amount of damages,” the expert explained.
