Two promotions in the Corporate and M&A team

As of 1 April 2020 two long-time lawyers Corporate and M&A team have been promoted: Rokas Jankus becomes a senior associate and Laurynas Ramonas – an associate.

Rokas Jankus joined our team back in 2012, while he was still a student. Rokas represents clients in mergers and acquisitions as well as private and venture capital investment, and advises on other corporate issues. Rokas has been among the team leaders in the major transactions such as the merger of Kesko Senukai Digital and 1A and the acquisition of the sports club operator Gym+ by the Estonian company MyFitness. Rokas has also represented Eneba in receiving the biggest seed investment in Lithuanian history and Avia Solutions Group in the acquisition of the Icelandic cargo airline.

“I am grateful to the firm for their trust and determination to invest in me when I had just finished two years of law studies, and also for revealing to me what quality is in both professional and other aspects of life. I believe that absolutely the best thing that can happen at the start of your career is to be surrounded by people who do not let you stop improving, help set new goals and create the conditions to achieve these goals every day. This is the environment at Motieka & Audzevičius law firm. During this period, I understood that there is no straighter road to success than hard and purposeful work,” said Senior Associate Rokas Jankus.

Laurynas Ramonas started his career at the law firm in 2016, having participated in the “Night of Challenges”, the event we organise for students. Laurynas advises clients on mergers and acquisitions and is focused on the legal issues of merger control. Right upon joining the team Laurynas demonstrated a responsible attitude towards the diversity of corporate issues. He has successfully contributed to the most significant transactions of our firm such as the merger of Publicum, Idea and HAVAS groups, the merger of Kesko Senukai Digital and 1A, the acquisition of the sports club operator Gym+, etc.

“First of all, I would like to thank the law firm, partners and colleagues for their trust, the example of professionalism, and motivation to improve on both professional and academic terms. The firm’s values, business ethics and a superb team have helped me become stronger and grow as a professional and as a personality over these 4 years. It is certainly just a beginning of the road on which I have already made a significant contribution to a number of major transactions, graduated from master studies at Vilnius University and started new studies at King’s College London. I firmly believe that my further cooperation with Motieka & Audzevičius team will be even more memorable,” said Associate Laurynas Ramonas.
