Defended the Italian wine producer before the Supreme Court of Lithuania

Our team has defended the interest of a leading Italian sparkling wine producer against the State Property Fund (SPF) in the Supreme Court of Lithuania.

The SPF requested to re-open the civil procedure because of alleged new circumstances that could have influenced the previous decision of the Supreme Court. The court had dismissed the SPF’s request and ruled that there were no grounds to renew the procedure.

This case is of utmost importance to the Lithuanian legal system since it established strict substance requirements for future requests for the re-opening of civil procedures taking also into account the political flavour of this litigation.
