Avia Solutions Group acquires Bluebird Nordic

Our Corporate and M&A team has advised Avia Solutions Group on cross-border acquisition of Bluebird Nordic – cargo airline headquartered in Iceland. The target provides wet lease services to integrators like ASL/FedEx, UPS and DHL, charter brokers as well as other cargo airlines in Europe. Avia Solutions Group is the largest aerospace group from Central & Eastern Europe offering aviation services worldwide while conducting activities from 67 international offices and production stations.

Corporate and M&A lawyers represented the client from the early stages of negotiations and drafted heads of terms, the share purchase agreement and related documentation. Also, we assisted with the due diligence process and helped the client to assess the potential risks of this transaction, including aviation-related peculiarities.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Avia Solutions Group mentioned that the client, upon this acquisition, shall step into narrow-body ACMI cargo business, which they were previously missing.

This transaction is yet another milestone for our team of lawyers and standing as an aviation law firm as it grows our involvement in aviation industry related deals and expands geography for successfully advising the clients on transactions in aviation.

As for now, the closing of the deal is subject to regulatory approvals – competition clearance and consents from aviation authorities.
