Hostinger attracts investors from Germany and aims for expansion

Our Corporate and M&A team has advised long-term shareholders on the sale of 31% of stake in Lithuanian web and cloud hosting company Hostinger. The sellers – former majority shareholders, shall remain in the company with a minority stake.

Lawyers of our team participated in structuring the transaction, drafting and negotiating the acquisition documents, such as share purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreement and related documents required for a successful closing of the transaction and post-acquisition integrations.

Worth mentioning that the selling side and the purchaser enabled the current employees to exercise their stock options, which is still a rare occurrence in the relatively young Lithuanian start-up market and marks another success story.

The acquisition is the next step in further global expansion and scaling of the target. The management has plans on becoming one of the leading hosting services’ providers in the world. The new shareholders have strong history and experience in the global hosting market and have previously made successful exits in this field.
