A second win in an LCIA Arbitration

Another LCIA arbitration win for the Dispute Resolution team.

After a vehement fight over the costs of arbitration, our team achieves another crushing victory. The opponent insisted on holding 3 rounds of written submissions on costs followed by a separate virtual hearing on the issue. In total, the opponents demanded over 1 million EUR in costs.

Having sided with the Motieka & Audzevičius’s arguments, the Sole Arbitrator awarded our client almost all of its legal and arbitration costs and the requested interest.

The opponent’s claim for costs was almost entirely dismissed. The client was additionally awarded costs for the ‘costs’ stage.
