Successfully represented clients in a dispute over shares of a fintech company

Our team represented the client, a leading fintech start-up, and one of its founders in a shareholder dispute.

The opponent (a minority shareholder of the company) raised a claim in court over a portion of the company’s shares. The claim was based on an alleged share purchase agreement.

After a lengthy dispute over jurisdiction, the court upheld our arguments that the dispute fell within the scope of the arbitration clause in the shareholders’ agreement and the investment agreements, and therefore left the claim unconsidered.
