Two of our deals shortlisted for 2022 CEE Deals of the Year

CEE Legal Matters announced the shortlisted deals for the 2022 CEE Deals of the Year Awards, recognizing the largest and most important deals in Central and Eastern Europe.

We participated in two out of four transactions in Lithuania including in 2022 CEE Deals of the Year Shortlists Bertona Holdings Limited’s acquisition of Vilniaus Prekyba and Žabolis Partners’ acquisition of Šviesa.

The shortlists are based on the Country Selection Committees’ votes on all the deals nominated across CEE – a full list of which is available here.

“We have always allowed our work to do the talking. In the past years, we were especially proud to be a part of more than a few market firsts or most significant transactions in Lithuania. It inspires us to do our best and provide the best value we can to our clients. It sparks our enthusiasm even more when the transaction we contributed gets shortlisted to be the Deal of the Year” said partner Rokas Jankus.

Senior Associate Laurynas Ramonas added: “We could watch from the first row how much invested the clients were in these transactions and how much value it will bring to their businesses and the Lithuanian economy! We thank all competing law firms that make us brace up, look for constructive solutions, and march towards successful closing!”

The CEE Deals of the Year Awards have been granted since 2017 by CEE Legal Matters to celebrate the transactions, financings, IPOs, and other deals that underpin growth throughout the region, as well as the lawyers and law firms who make them happen.

The winners will be selected by a Final Selection Committee and announced at the annual CEE Deals of the Year Banquet scheduled for April 25, 2023, in Istanbul.
