Represented one of the biggest used cars sellers in a tax dispute

Tax litigation team represented one of the biggest used cars sellers in Lithuania before the Supreme Administrative Court. The case deals with situation where the tax authorities have calculated taxes by increasing selling price of used cars under its own assessment.

The uniqueness of this case lies in the fact that the tax authorities increased selling price of 70 used cars, while they have evidences that the client sold only 3 used cars with a higher price than it was provided in the invoice. Our firm is defending the client by arguing that the tax authorities have breached one of the fundamental human rights – a right to property. If the client still receives negative decision from the Supreme Administrative Court, it is very likely that the case will end up at the European Court of Human Rights.
